CEP 810: Teaching for understanding with Technology
Who am I as an educator?

This course is the first required course in the Master of Arts in Educational Technology Program. This class focuses on five major themes;
1) Theories of learning and understanding
2) Essential mindsets for teaching with technology
3) Professional Learning Networks (PLN)
4) Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK)
5) Creative uses of technologies for learning
Throughout this course graduate students interact with learning and technologies in order to create 21st century learning. Students are forced to navigate technologies for the use of teachers, students, collaborators, professionals, etc. Through this learning experience teachers evaluate the affordances and constraints of each technology tool while repurposing them for learning.

CEP 810: Content Connections Video -
This assignment required learners to make a connection between content taught in school and technology theories being learned during course work. The teacher is required to connect this project to the TPACK framework, combining course content with technology and personal pedagogy.

CEP 810: SIG Presentation -
This assignment required students to create a Special Interest Group for a learning technology. Individuals were required to pick an area of interest in technology education and explore knowledge available about this technology. In creating and presenting on this learning technology individuals explored how to collaborate with colleagues in order to improve education using a Professional Learning Network (PLN)
